Hollister is a collector, an educator, a museum worker, a speculative geologist, a wannabe photographer, and a bookmaker.
McCall Hollister (b.1997, they/them, Boston*) grew up in mid-Michigan before returning to Boston in 2021. Their research interrogates collection practices and the limits of (auto)biography through their collection of 800* rocks, stones, bricks, and other ephemera.
McCall received their Bachelors in Arts in Studio Art and Humanities from Michigan State University in 2019, and their Masters in Fine Arts and Museum Studies from the School of Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in 2024. They are currently based in Boston, MA.
